Jamie Leason
Jamie Leason brings extensive international business and program management expertise to The Talentprojekt Foundation after decades of experience with multinational companies including Porsche Cars North America, Jackson Dawson Communications and American Express Global Business Travel.
Jamie is a graduate of Oglethorpe University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science. She was also a two-sport collegiate athlete, captaining both the Oglethorpe Varsity Soccer and Tennis teams and earning conference honors in both sports.
Jamie credits her experiences growing up in youth sports to building the character and resilience that has helped her achieve much of her success in her professional career. Coupled with the community and relationships she has built on and off the playing field, Jaime is motivated to see other young persons experience the pursuit of their passion without concern for affordability.
Monica Betancourt
Monica Betancourt is from Queens, New York growing up as a first generation American to Colombian parents. She embraced growing up bilingual and bicultural reveling in the richness living alongside other ethnic groups brought her life. Monica graduated from Fordham University at Lincoln Center majoring in Latin American Studies.
Monica has worked in human resources, institutional advancement, C-suite level support and various communication roles. She traces her penchant for volunteerism to an innate calling to use her creative abilities and robust work experience to aid individuals and causes that may lack a voice.
Carlos Romero
Born in Queens, New York to Colombian parents, Carlos followed his dream to sign a professional soccer contract as soon as he graduated from High School. He played for MLS side "NY/NJ Metrostars" and Colombia's "Independiente Santa Fe" both times under a Reserve Team contract. Following this spell he returned to the US to play collegiate soccer in Warner Univesity (NAIA), Tyler Junior College (NJCAA) before being recruited by UCF (NCAA D1) his Junior year. Carlos went on to graduate as an Electrical Engineer and has been working in the Power & Utility industry since. He holds a USSF "C" coaching license and develops talent at various levels while running his own college placement agency.
